Chai - "Personal Assistant" Cat of the Week

Chai is playful, active, curious, outgoing, affectionate, energetic, friendly and adventurous - he has it all!

We are pleased to introduce Chai as this week's spotlighted cat.  He is a two year old domestic short hair brown tabby with a round moon face.  He has such soft, plush and gorgeous fur...he is very handsome!

Chai was rescued as a free roaming cat in rural King County.  He has since been neutered, microchipped, received dewormings and vaccines.    Chai is such a loverboy who can best be described as playful, active, curious, outgoing, affectionate, energetic, friendly and adventurous - he has it all!  Additionally, Chai gets along with other cats, dogs and does very will with children.  He loves to roll over on his back and offer his tummy - not something most cats are comfortable doing.

Chai's 'feline-ality' is that of a Personal Assistant.  The definition of a Personal Assistant:  "You're working on the computer?  Let me press the keys.  Reading the paper?  I'll hold the pages down for you.  Watching TV?  I'll just plop in your lap so you can pet me.  I love an orderly household, don't you?  I'll help you with all your chores and I'll help you relax when we're done.  You'll wonder how you ever managed without me."

Chai has the FIV antibody present in his body.  He is, however, completely asymptomatic and otherwise as healthy as can be.  FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, is similar to the virus that causes AIDS in humans. FIV cannot spread from one species to another.  Humans cannot 'catch' the virus.   The biggest misconception about FIV cats is that they cannot lead a healthy life.  FIV also cannot be transmitted casually to other cats by sharing food/water dishes, litterboxes or toys.

If you are interested in Chai or would like to meet him, please stop in any time - he loves visitors!  He is also accepting phone calls at 425-822-6369.
