Pet of the Week: Found Abandoned and Ailing, Cotton Looking for Soft Landing

If you're looking for an affectionate, young male cat, your search is over!

Cotton is a diamond in the rough and has been through a lot in his short life. He was found as an abandoned cat living off of a very busy street in Tacoma. When Cotton came to his current residence at Houghton's MEOW Cat Rescue, he had a large abscess on top of his head. The abscess was treated successfully, but because of the size and severity of the injury, the vet placed a drainage tube in Cotton's head.

The tube was removed last Monday and Cotton is doing just great now, but his head looks a little sore. No matter though -- he's just as happy as can be! His head will heal beautifully and it will all be a distant memory.

Cotton is mellow, friendly and such a lover boy. He's just a year old, a red and white tabby, full of love and a "leaner." He will lean on anyone, any chance he gets!  He also likes to give hugs. He doesn't seem to phased by other cats and we think he will do well with children as well.

This handsome boy has been neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and parasite treated. He's ready for a new home where he can get the love and care he deserves.
