Pet of the Week: Muffin is a Mature Cat With a Murmur -- and a Total Sweetheart

Muffin is a low maintenance cat who is just looking for a nice place to call home.

Meet Muffin, such a sweetheart of a cat and a favorite at MEOW Cat Rescue shelter in Kirkland. Muffin was originally brought to MEOW as a stray kitten 11 years ago. She was adopted into a loving home where she lived a very good life.  Her humans moved out of the country and Muffin didn’t fit into the plans, so she is back at MEOW.

Muffin is very affectionate, intelligent and easy going. She is a little reserved with new people, but she warms up fairly quickly. She loves company and in her previous home did well with children, other cats and dogs. Topping her list of favorites is lounging in front of windows and soaking up Seattle sunshine (when the sun comes out that is!). She is a low-maintenance cat and is just looking for a nice place to call home.

MEOW performs a senior physical exam and blood work on all senior cats and Muffin’s values are within the normal limits. She does have a very slight heart murmur, but it does not present any issues. It is just something to be aware of.

Muffin scored as a Secret Admirer for her ‘feline-ality’ evaluation. What is a Secret Admirer? When it comes to relationships, I’m very level-headed. I don’t leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I’ll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me – but I’ll be thinking a lot of you.

If you have questions about or are interested in meeting Muffin, please see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
