Pets of the Week: Sister Stardust Serves as Ears for Her Deaf Brother Frio

'The best cats ever!"

Frio and Stardust are siblings, both white and just 6 1/2 years old and quite an interesting pair. Frio is a male who is deaf and his sister has one green eye and one blue eye - Stardust also serves as Frio's "ears." They are very bonded and would be lost without one another, so need to be adopted together.

This pair originally came to MEOW Cat Rescue, the no-kill shelter in Houghton, as little kittens. Their former mom's work schedule requires her to travel extensively. Given Frio and Stardust's love of people and human companionship, she feels that they deserve a home where they can get the love, play time and attention they deserve and seek.

Both cats adore all people and will transition easily to a new home. They are gentle with children and have been accepting of dogs as well. Their owner described them as "the best cats ever" and "perfect."

Frio and Stardust are on a veterinary diet that supports kidney function. Frio was born deaf -- deafness is more common in white cats. In addition, Frio requires subcutaneous (under the skin) fluids once or twice a month, which he takes very willingly. Other than that, both cats are healthy, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

If you would like more information on these beautiful cats or are interested in meeting them, please contact MEOW Cat Rescue at 425-822-6369.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
