Thumper - A very special boy searching for a very special family
When you first meet Thumper you may not even notice that there is something different about him. We sure didn't. After about a week in his foster home, he was still running into things (hence the name Thumper). A visit to the vet confirmed our fears: this kitten is blind. Both of his retinas were detached and he suffered from mild cataracts. A specialist believes he may be able to see bright light, but that is all.
But no matter! Once Thumper gets to know his surroundings you almost wouldn't know that he is blind. He's playful, adventures and....he can't resist the sound of tape being removed from a pet/lint roller and he loves any toy that makes noise. Additionally, when he climbs his cat tree and realizes that he can't judge how far he has climbed, he very expertly has learned to get down going backwards!
Thumper isn't in any pain and doesn't require any medications or special care. Just lots of love and understanding!
Please stop in and meet this sweet little guy...but be prepared to have your heart stolen!
