Even the Kirkland Council and Redmond has reservations.

The most interesting part of the Kirkland City Council meeting testamonies from the Pro Prop-1 folks was the complete lack of facts, purely centered on "we deserve, we want". The fact that they are forcing this Debt on their children did not even come up. They do not seem to even care the burden they leave their Children.

The folks on the CON Prop-1 committee had facts, figures, tax rate changes the burdens passed to the next generation by 20 year bonds that keep piling up.

When she saw the proposal for a 21-percent tax hike from the Lake Washington School District, including about three-quarters of a billion dollars in bonded debt, Sammamish City Councilwoman Nancy Whitten was taken aback.

β€œMy mouth is dropping when I added up your numbers,” Whitten said during the Sept. 16 city council meeting.
So cutting that back to $404 million with 335 Million in 4 years changes nothing.
Same dollars spent, same debt, just a 2-4 year delay in adding more debt.
