And to keep the cost down it’s all being done during everyone’s regular business and work hours - 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   It’s posted as 7 to 3:30 but they must set-up and break-down each day.  So from early morning till just before closing NE 85th becomes a goat path with trucks on it.  All the construction has scared away the goats.

Don’t misunderstand - the construction workers are terrific people working hard to get the job done properly and quickly, always very polite and helpful.

Which doesn’t assuage tempers when it takes fifteen minutes to go four blocks.  But it does go a long way with those of us that are here every day.  We really appreciate the professionalism and courtesy all the construction professionals are extending to us.

Is it just because it’s Kirkland?  My friend in Renton talks about fights in the streets around the construction there.  Here in Kirkland the worst I’ve seen is an embedded frown that I think was imported from another community...

Gotta love being in Kirkland.
