Amber Alert: Two Abducted California Children May Be in Washington

Hannah and Ethan Anderson have been missing since Saturday, Aug. 3, and may be in Washington, according to the Amber Alert issued Aug. 7.

Update 5:51 p.m. Aug. 7: According to news reports, the body of 42-year-old Christina Anderson, the mother of the two missing children, was found in the suspect's burned home, along with the body of a child, though that child has not been confirmed to be Ethan Anderson.

The Washington State Amber alert system has been activated as authorities continue to search for 16-year-old Hannah Anderson and 8-year-old Ethan Anderson.

The children, taken from Boulevard, Calif. on Aug. 3, may be in the company of James DiMaggio, who drives a blue Nissan Versa, license plate 6WCU986.

He is believed to be heading to Canada, and authorities in Tacoma are seeking information on his and the children's whereabouts.

Hannah is 5'7" inches tall, blond, blue-eyed, and weighs 115 pounds. Ethan is 4'11" tall, with sandy hair, and weighs 65 pounds.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or children or has other information should call 911 or the Washington State Patrol at 253-538-3240.
