Bellevue Buglary Suspects Arrested After SR 520 Pursuit

Three suspects were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of burglarizing a home after Bellevue Police followed them to the University District in Seattle. The Kirkland Police K9 team assisted in the chase.

Bellevue Police arrested three burglary suspects Wednesday after the suspects led police on a pursuit over the State Route 520 Bridge and crashed in the University District, according to a press release. No officers or bystanders were injured in the crash, police said.

The arrest was made with the assistance of Kirkland, Seattle and UW Police Departments, Bellevue police reported.

Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, a neighbor in the 2400 block of 127th Ave N.E. of Bellevue called police after witnessing three unknown men jump into a white sedan after burglarizing a neighbor’s home, according to the police department.

The description of the vehicle and the suspects were immediately dispatched to officers in the area and Bellevue Police motorcycle officer and Kirkland's K9 team followed the suspect vehicle west bound on State Route 520, according to Bellevue Police.

After a short pursuit of the suspect vehicle to the University District in Seattle, the suspect vehicle crashed into a post. The three suspects jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Within seconds the three were in custody, according to the Bellevue Police.

These suspects are known to be involved in other Eastside burglaries and were booked into King County Jail on burglary and eluding for last week’s incident.
