Elderly Woman Victim of Check Fraud: KPD Blotter

The following information is selected from Kirkland Police reports for June 7-11. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

June 7
Assault: A 28-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for assault after a woman reported seeing him assault a woman at the 132 Square Park. According to the report, the witness saw the man punch the woman in the shoulder and forcing her to slap herself in the face with her own hand. The suspect was booked into the Kirkland Jail.
Stalking: A Kirkland man reported that a woman had following him to work.

June 8
Domestic Violence:
A 27-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for 4th degree assault after pushing his girlfriend to the ground outside their apartment, on the 8800 block of NE 137th Place.
Mailbox Destroyed: Police investigated a destroyed mailbox report on the 13200 block of 116th Ave NE. No suspect info was available.
Vehicle Prowl: A cellphone was stolen from a car on the 7400 block of 131st Pl NE.

June 10
Forgery: 
A 76-year-old Kirkland woman reported that four checks, valued at $1,250, were stolen from her. 


June 11
Domestic Violence: 
A 24-year-old Kirkland woman was arrested on suspicion of 4th degree assault after pushing, shoving and threatening her 35-year-old boyfriend with a knife.
