Kirkland Police Investigate Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident in Juanita

A 16-year-old girl was taken to Evergreen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Kirkland Police are investigating a vehicle/pedestrian accident Wednesday evening that injured a 16-year-old girl who was hit when she ran eastbound across 100th Ave N.E. in Juanita.

A Kirkland Police Department press release did not identify the injured woman or her hometown. She was struck at about 5 p.m. by a southbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man, who also was not identified. The driver was not injured.

The woman was taken to Evergreen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

The accident is being investigated by the Kirkland Police Department’s Traffic Division.
