Kirkland Police Seek Information on Assault Suspect

Man sought in June 25 attack on Kingsgate woman.

Kirkland police have released a sketch of a suspect and are seeking information about the June 25 assault of a woman in a Kingsgate apartment parking lot.

The man is described as a white male in his 20s with sandy-brown hair, about 5-foot-9 and of a thin build. He was wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.

The woman was walking home from work just after 11 p.m. when the assault occurred in the 14500 block of 124th Ave NE, according to the Kirkland Police Department.

The victim said she saw an unknown man following her as she walked, and when she attempted to walk faster, the suspect grabbed her around the neck. As the man attempted to strangle her, according to police, she struggled to get away.

A police K9 unit attempted to track the suspect but could not find him.
