KPD Blotter: $3000 Cash Stolen from Safe at Carillon Point

Other cases include debit cards, drivers licenses and other personal information found in a grocery store dumpster, and a woman caught taking change from the Parkplace fountain.

The following are selected reports from the for the period of Sept. 24-28.

Sept. 24

  • A business at in south Kirkland reported to police that someone stole about $3000 cash from an unsecured safe sometime between 3 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. There were no suspects and police did not find any significant evidence.
  • A 39-year-old man who was living in Seattle was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. in the 11300 block of NE 124th Street in the Totem Lake area on a felony deportation warrant.


Sept. 25

  • Police discovered debit cards, drivers licenses, checks, a passport, W2 form and other documents, apparently stolen in several Seattle-area burglaries, in a dumpster at the Juanita on NE 124th. Listed victims included six women and a man from Seattle, Mount Vernon, Spokane and Renton. Apparently a store employee alerted police at about 1:30 p.m. that someone had dumped the items.

  • A small safe containing jewelry, a silver watch and an unreported amount of cash was stolen from a 20-year-old man who lives in the 12900 block of NE 113th in the Totem Lake area. He told police it was taken some time on the evening of Sept. 13.
  • Management of the downtown reported that a 29-year-old woman, no address listed, was observed taking change from the center’s fountain at about 9:30 a.m. The woman told police she didn’t think she was doing anything wrong, but returned the money after a warning and signed a document advising that she would be trespassing if she returned.


Sept. 28

  • Police arrested a 34-year-old Tacoma man for disorderly conduct after being called to on 124th Ave NE in Kingsgate about a fight just after midnight. The man was taken to the police station, booked and released, and advised that if he returned to the bar he would be trespassing.
