UPDATE: Subject in Manhunt Turns Himself In; No Injury

Kirkland Police are tracking down reports of a man apparently seen running through backyards in the Houghton area.

UPDATE, 7 p.m., May 10: Kirkland Police arrested a juvenile male in Houghton for trespassing Thursday evening after a brief search involving a K9 unit. Lt. Mike Murray said the youth, 16 or 17, turned himself in after apparently being confronted by a resident in a backyard.

Initial reports said the resident described the suspect as a bloody man.

"There was no blood on him or anything. It turned out to be a kid," Murray said. "If he didn't break into a house, he was probably looking to. But we haven't had any reports of a break-in."
