Man Cited for Injuries to 7-Year-Old: KPD Blotter

Tuesday, May 21

Catalytic converter stolen: A Kirkland resident reported that the catalytic converter had been stolen off his Jeep Cherokee from the 10900 block of NE 123rd Lane.

Wednesday, May 22

Debit card does Greece: A Kirkland woman was informed by Alaska Federal Credit Union that her debit card number had been fraudulently used for several charges made in Greece.

Friday, May 24

Theft: A 30 year-old Kirkland man was arrested for stealing four bottles of Makers Mark Whskey from Safeway. He was tracked down by a K9 unit after fleeing the store, and was found laying in the bushes behind a Wagreens, with not only the alcohol, but drug paraphernalia and miscellaneous electronics.

Theft of beauty products: A 28-year-old Kirkland woman was arrested for shoplifting beauty products from Sally’s Beauty supply. 

Stolen checks: A Kirkland man reported that a box of checks was stolen from his mailbox on the 700 block of 17th Ave W.

 

Saturday, May 25

Car prowl Prowl: Police responded to a report of recovered property car prowl at  the 12200 block of 118th Court. A woman found a car registration and an Apple iPad 2 behind her apartment.

Assault: A 47-year old Kirkland man was arrested for 4th degree assault after a confrontation over a soccer ball hitting his car. He allegedly grabbed a 16-year-old teen by the neck after the teen’s brother kicked a soccer ball that hit the man’s truck. 

Grocery theft: A 19-year-old Kirkland woman was cited for theft after allegedly shoplifting from Safeway. She also had a warrant in Redmond and was transferred to Redmond Police. 

Assault of a child: A 22-year-old Kirkland man was cited for fourth degree assault after a 7-year-old boy’s grandfather reported to police that the boy had been injured at his mother’s apartment.

 

Sunday, May 26

Drunkenly Blocking Traffic: A 27-year-old Kirkland man was cited for disorderly conduct after blocking traffic on the 200 block of Central Way. He was apparently highly intoxicated.

 

Tuesday, May 28

Working under another name: A 49-year-old Kirkland woman reported to police that an unknown man had used her social security number on his employment forms.
