A 26-year-old man suspected in the theft of five vehicles from Infiniti of Kirkland and an attempted burglary at Kirby Vacuum was arrested Wednesday in Marin County, Ca., local police said.
Aikeem L. Roberts is a suspect in several current Kirkland Police Department cases, including the five vehicle thefts from Infiniti of Kirkland and the attempted commercial burglary of the Kirby Vacuum store in Totem Lake in early January.
Roberts was contacted near one of the stolen Infiniti vehicles and immediately ran off, chased by Marin County peace officers. After a short foot pursuit, Roberts was captured and is currently in custody in California on separate criminal charges, according to KPD Lt. Mike Murray.
KPD detectives will discuss a possible return of Roberts back to Washington State after his criminal charges in Marin County are adjudicated, Murray said.
Anyone with any information regarding these cases was asked to contact the Kirkland Police Department Tip Line at 425-587-3515.
