'Most Wanted' Broadcast Leads to Arrest of Kirkland Burglary Suspect

The 31-year-old Spanaway man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly burglarizing several rooms at an assisted living center in Kirkland on Sept. 9 and later using a stolen credit card in Puyallup.

A 31-year-old man suspected of burglarizing a Kirkland retirement center was arrested by Kirkland Police Wednesday at his home in Spanaway after a tip from a viewer of “Washington’s Most Wanted.”

The suspect was allegedly captured on video at Madison House Retirement and Assisted Living Center on Sept. 9, and the KCPQ Q-13 Fox show aired photos from the video twice.

The man is suspected of entering rooms at the center and stealing property, including a credit card that was later used several times in Puyallup, with those transactions caught on video as well.

He was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of residential burglary, second-degree theft and four counts of attempted burglary and malicious mischief.
