Kirkland Police Department spokesman Lt. Mike Murray said an officer responded to the scene and determined that it posed no public hazard. The owner of the boat was advised to seek help through a salvage company.

“We heard about it and an officer went down there and looked at it,” he said. “But it wasn’t a threat to city property or anything.”
