Sequim Man Dies Three Days After Crash on I-90/I-405 Interchange

A Sequim man died Sunday several days after riding in a car that crashed into another on the Interstate 90 and Interstate 405 interchange, the reported.

Robert Parker Gowing, 81, Sequim, died at Haborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was taken after the Feb. 2 crash, the Washington State Patrol reported in a memo. 

Gowing, who went by the name Parker, was the passenger in a 1995 Toyota Camry, when driver, Clover Gowing, 76, of Sequim, rear ended a 1997 Toyota Camry driven by Yibing Wu, 42, of Kirkland as they exited westbound Interstate 90 to northbound Interstate 405 around 6:20 p.m., according to the memo. Parker Gowing was Clover Gowing's husband, according to publicly available records.

Wu's car was pushed into a 2010 Honda Accord driven by Dong H. Lao, 42, of Kirkland, the state patrol reported.

Wu, Lao and Clover Gowing were not injured in the crash. Everyone wore seat belts, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Clover Gowing will be ticketed for following too closely, according to the state patrol.
