SUV Stolen In Kirkland Leads Police to Guns, Jewels and Tools

Police tracked the rig via GPS to a home in Snohomish County, where they found another stolen vehicle, 14 guns, a few bags of precious stones and a small amount of meth. A 30-year-old man and his 23-year-old girlfriend were arrested.

A car stolen in Kirkland and equipped with a GPS unit led police in Snohomish County to a small arsenal of stolen guns, power tools, jewels, another stolen vehicle, a small amount of methamphetamine and the arrest of two people.

According to a story in The Herald, the case began with a report of a black 2001 Chevy Tahoe stolen from a Kirkland area motel. It had been equipped with the GPS by an Everett auto dealer. Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives on Monday tracked the rig to a home in Cathcart, near the town of Snohomish.

Inside were a 30-year-old man and his 23-year-old girlfriend, who said they were preparing to leave for Idaho. Investigators with the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force were called in, obtained a search warrant and ended up finding the two stolen cars, 14 firearms -- 11 of them confirmed stolen and including a sawed off shotgun and military-style rifles -- along with 3,000 round of ammunition, an estimated $50,000 worth of power tools, gun accessories and a few bags of precious stones, including diamonds, rubies and sapphires.

Most of the guns were found in the Tahoe stolen in Kirkland. "It was a rolling arsenal...or a rolling gun shop," a task force member, Washington State Patrol Sgt. Jason Longoria, told the Herald.

The other vehicle was a Gene Juarez Salons maintenance van, reported stolen in Bellevue that morning.

Both suspects remained booked Thursday at Snohomish County Jail.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
