Update Tuesday 9:30 a.m.: The man who robbed the Woodinville Jamba Juice Monday was armed with a handgun and wore a bandanna over his face, say Woodinville police.
That's similar to the approach used in a string of armed robberies around the Eastside over the last several weeks.
The robbery took place at approximately 3:40 p.m. Jan. 21, according to Woodinville Police Chief Sydney Jackson. The suspect robbed the clerk behind the counter and took money from the cash registers, Jackson said. He was last seen on foot behind the store getting into a gray car.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans with a bandanna around his face.
King County Major Crimes is investigating.
The Jamba Juice smoothie shop in Woodinville was robbed Monday afternoon, according to KIRO TV, and police are investigating whether the robber is connected to a string of similar robberies on the Eastside recently.
The report said the robber is still at large, and that both Bothell and King County police are investigating. The Jamba Juice is in downtown Woodinville at 13804 Northeast 175th St.
The King County Sheriff's Office is tyring to find out whether it is the same masked robber who has hit a string of Subway, Baskin and Robbins and similar shops recently, including in Kirkland.
