WSP Seeks Witnesses to Late-Night I-405 Hit-And-Run Collision

Police are searching for a dark or dark green car that fled the scene.

Update, 11:45 a.m. Aug. 12: The victim in Sunday morning's hit-and-run collision on I-405 is expected to survive her injuries, WSP Trooper Chris Webb told Patch on Monday morning.

The female victim, whose name and age have not been released, was transported to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland with non-life-threatening internal injuries, Webb said.

She was driving a Mercury Mountaineer on northbound I-405 near Northeast 160th Street when an unknown vehicle "clipped" her SUV, causing it to roll.

The state patrol is still working to identify the other vehicle, described as a small dark-green passenger vehicle. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have other information is asked to call Detective Greg Wilcoxson at 425-401-7746 or Detective Russ Haake at 425-401-7717.

Update, 2:55 p.m. Aug. 11: WSP says the suspect vehicle in the 12 a.m. hit and run on northbound I-405, a small dark green car, "clipped" the other car, causing it to roll. The driver of the car that rolled suffered internal injuries in the crash.

The driver of the suspect vehicle is sought for felony hit and run, and police need witness help.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating a two vehicle hit-n-run injury collision that occurred on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at about 12:03 a.m.  The collision occurred on northbound I-405 MP22 near the exit to NE 160th in King County.  Investigators are requesting assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle; a dark or dark green color smaller passenger vehicle that left the scene.

Detectives and Troopers are also seeking witnesses that may have seen the collision or any event leading up to or following the crash.  If you have any information about the running vehicle or know somebody that does, please contact Detective Greg Wilcoxson at (425) 401-7746 or Detective Russ Haake at (425) 401-7717.
