AP: Inslee to Announce Run for Governor Early Next Week

Democrat says the 1st District Congressman who represents Kirkland will make the announcement in Seattle.

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, who has represented the 1st Congressional District for more than a decade, is going to officially enter the Washington state governor's race early next week, a source tells the Associated Press.

Inslee, who ran previously in 1996 but lost in the Democratic primary to Gary Locke, who went on to serve two terms, would likely face current state Attorney General Rob McKenna, a Republican who declared earlier this month for the 2012 general election.
