Shelley Kloba, a Kirkland Park Board member, showed up and said the caucuses are a good opportunity to "build community" and participate in issues-oriented dialogue. "It's a good opportunity to talk to people in a civil, intelligent way and have a good dialogue, she says. "This is a chance to say things you might not in regular, polite conversation, to look your neighbor in the eye and talk without flaming each other."
