Health Department Suspends License of Former Assistant at Kirkland Clinic

Certified heath care assistant's license suspended for two years.

The state Department of Health has suspended the license of a certified health care assistant who was terminated from her job at a Kirkland clinic last year for falsely trying to order prescriptions for hydrocodone.

Holly S. Daquila, born in 1984, had her license suspended by a health law judge for two years starting in June. She waived her right to a hearing and then filed for disposition of the case.

Department of Health records show she tried to order the drug over the phone by claiming to have been authorized by doctors at the Inglewood Family Heath clinic, when she had not been authorized to order the drug.

The records also show she altered a prescription for hydrocodone, and that she was terminated from her job at the clinic.

Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid narcotic used to treat pain, and according the federal authorities is one of the most commonly abused prescription drugs.
