Kirkland, Redmond to Hold Public Meeting on 85th, Redmond Way Road Work

The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. next Thursday, May 10.

 

Representatives from the cities of Redmond and Kirkland will host a public information meeting on Thursday, May 10, to discuss a planned for Redmond Way this summer.

This summer, crews will complete a major overlay of Redmond Way between 132nd Avenue NE on Rose Hill and Bear Creek Parkway. Significant impacts to traffic are expected.

At the same time, Kirkland is now in Phase II of its 85th Street Corridor Improvement Project and will be undergrounding utility lines this summer nearby. NE 85th Street becomes Redmond Way as it enters that city at 132nd Avenue NE.

Next week's meeting will take place at Rose Hill Elementary, 8110 128th Ave. NE in Kirkland, and include remarks from Redmond Mayor John Marchione, presentations from city staff and a question-and-answer session. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m.
