Kirkland Seeks Arts Commission, Youth Human Services Commission Volunteers

The deadline to apply has been extended to Wednesday, Feb. 27 for interested residents.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from the city of Kirkland.

The City of Kirkland is extending application dues dates for adult vacancies on the Cultural Arts Commission and a youth vacancy on the Human Services Advisory Committee.  Eligibility requirements differ for each board or commission.   Interested citizens are invited to apply.   Completed applications must be received by the City Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.  To learn more about each board and to obtain the community service application, go to www.kirklandwa.gov, visit Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, or call the City Clerk’s Office at 425-587-3190.

The members of the advisory boards listed above are appointed by the City Council.  The City Council will interview selected applicants on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, beginning at 6 p.m.  Most boards/commissions hold evening meetings.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
