Wind Advisory, Flood Watch Issued for King County

Wind gusts as high as 31 mph are expected in Kirkland.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory and flood watch for King County and much of Western Washington, with the latest Kirkland forecast calling for wind gusts up to 31 mph Monday night.

Tonight's forecast also predicts a 100 percent chance of precipitation, with steady south winds between 15 and 24 mph.

On Tuesday, the wind is expected to continue in the 21-24 mph range before decreasing to between 10 and 18 mph.

Rain will also stay likely through Thursday, according to the NWS. The flood watch says flooding is possible from Tuesday night into Wednesday on the region's most flood-prone rivers, including the Snoqualmie.
