Alexander Hits Homer, Triple as LW Crushes LIberty 12-1

The Kangs' power hitter went 3-for-3 with three RBIs as LW advanced to 2-0 in league play. The Juanita Rebels also won, beating Sammamish 5-2 to also advance to 2-0 in 3A KingCo play.

 

Theo Alexander hit his second home run in as many games and added a triple as the Lake Washington High Kangaroos crushed Liberty High 12-1 Wednesday night at Lee Johnson Field in Kirkland.

The Juanita High Rebels also won Wednesday night, beating Sammamish in Bellevue, 5-2.

LW’s power hitter Alexander finished with three hits in three at-bats and three runs batted in as the Kangs won their second straight game and improved their 3A KingCo league record to 2-0 (6-2 overall).

Zack Johnson went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIS, while Alac Wong was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Two Kang pitchers held Liberty to two hits, with Robert Hill pitching four innings and striking out six.

Jaunita won its second straight game to also improve to 2-0 in league play (3-2 overall), with Conner Rusch going 3-for-4 at the plate and Taylor Dantini driving in two runs with one hit in four at-bats.

Juanita will take on tough Mount Si (6-1/2-0) Friday at 4 p.m. at Peter Kirk Park’s Lee Johnson Field in Kirkland. Lake Washington travels to Mercer Island (3-4/0-2) for a 7 p.m. start.
