Fork Dork: 'Dinner and a Show' Gets Jazzed Up in Bellevue

Area restaurants are getting in on the Bellevue Jazz Festival, which kicks off at the end of the month.

 

Local restaurants and venues will be hosting concerts during the 5th Annual Bellevue Jazz Festival from May 30 through June 3.

Bellevue, , , , , Black Bottle Postern, and will be hosting free concerts throughout the festivities. and will host additional free concerts.

The Clayton Brothers Quintet (May 31), Booker T. Jones (June 1) and the Hubert Laws Quintet (June 2) will be the featured artists during the festival. They will perform paid concerts at the . General admission tickets are $34, $17 for students. Passes to all three concerts are $78.

, recently relocated to Bellevue from Issaquah, will also host a series of concerts during the festival in their dinner theater format. Tickets are $20. Bake’s Place will also host the KPLU School of Jazz Rising Stars on  June 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Additional student bands will be featured during the festival at the Bellevue Square Center Court on June 2-3. , and will be among the featured high school bands. , Mountlake Terrace High School, Ingraham High School, Mount Si High School, Hamilton International Middle School Jazz Combo and Redmond-based student group Fusion will be among the youth bands featured.

Magician G.G. Green greets guests at Daniel's Broiler

Mercer Island-based magician G.G. Green will be the featured entertainer at in downtown Bellevue on May 23. For $70, non-inclusive, guests will enjoy a magic show, and hors d'oeuvres paired with wines by Chateau Ste. Michelle.

Matthews Estate, Tenor host wine dinner at Cypress

Woodinville-based wineries and will be hosting a wine dinner on May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Wine Bar at the .

Eric Swikard and Bryan Otis from Matthews Estate and Tenor will lead guests through a six-course dinner prepared by Chef Mark Santiago. Each course will be paired with a Matthews Estate or Tenor wine, including the newly released Tenor Merlot and Tenor Sauvignon Blanc.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
