Kangs Drubbed by Si 10-2, Suffer Second Straight Loss

Lake Washington is now 10-3 and tied for second in the KingCo 3A Conference with Bellevue, and facing the Wolverines Wednesday night.

Held to four hits, the Kangaroos suffered their second straight conference loss for the first time this season after being overpowered by Mount Si in North Bend Tuesday night 10-2.

Si’s Reece Karalus struck out 12 Kangs in going all seven innings for the win. Joey Cotto, Trevor Taylor and Zach Usselman combined for seven hits and six RBIs for the Wildcats.

Lake Washington dropped to 10-3 and second place in the KingCo 3A/2A Conference, 14-5 overall. The Kangs lost to Interlake Friday night 3-2. Mount Si leads the conference at 11-2.

Sean Gray went 1-for-3 at the plate for Lake Washington with an RBI, and Nick Johnson also drove in a run.

Lake Washington faces 10-3 Bellevue Wednesday at Bellevue, 4 p.m.
