"He's really been impressive this season," said LW coach Derek Bingham. "He's just such a competitor. He can throw so many pitches. He changes arm angles, so it's tough for a hitter to know what to expect."

Lake Washington belted 13 hits on the night, with Theo Alexander going 2-for-4 with an RBI and Zach Johnson going 2-for-4. Cruikshank also went 2-for-4.

"Now that were playing regularly, we're swinging the bats better," Bingham said. "We're getting good at-bats one through nine."

Cruikshank struck out five on the night and gave up hits only to Interlake’s Jake Wilson and Adam Crouch.

The Kangs travel to Snoqualmie Friday to face league-leading Mount Si (9-1/5-0) at 4:30 p.m.

"We're excited about it," Bingham said. "This game coming up is huge."
