Kangs Shut Out by Bellevue 3-0

Lake Washington's record falls to 4-3 in the KingCo 3A/2A Conference.

The Kangaroos out-hit the Bellevue Wolverines 7 to 6 and got a strong performance on the mound from Bob Cruikshank, but still fell 3-0 in a baseball game Monday evening at the Bellevue school.

Cruikshank pitched five innings, giving up four hits and two runs while striking out five. Theo Alexander led the LW offense, going 2-for-3, while Theo Alexander doubled, and Nick Jonson, Spencer Jackson, Chris Moore and Cruikshank singled.

The loss dropped the Kangs’ record in the KingCo 32/2A Conference to 4-3.

Jeff Van Orman led the offense for Bellevue (6-1), going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.

Lake Washington’s next game is against Sammamish on Lee Johnson Field at Peter Kirk Park, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
