LW Student Who Plays For Sammamish Club Named Lacrosse Player Of Week

Allison Clements put in 12 points during the final week of the season.

junior Allison Clements, who plays for the club team Lake Sammamish, tallied 12 points, including three hat tricks, to be named Washington lacrosse player of the week.

The Lake Sammamish girls' lacrosse team, based at Redmond's Marymoor Park, finished the week with a win, a tie and a loss. In a 15–11 loss to powerful Snohomish, Clements tallied three goals, an assist, grabbed three ground balls and controlled two draws.

In a 17-4 win over Holy Names, Clements again recorded a hat trick and grabbed three ground balls and commandeered six faceoffs. In a 13-13 tie with five-time defending state champion Lakeside, Clements delivered another three goals, two assists, a ground ball and two draw controls.

Talented in the classroom and athletics, Clements maintains a 3.8 grade point average at Lake Washington. Along with being a three-year starter on the Lake Sammamish lacrosse team, the junior is a two-year member of the Kangs volleyball team, and is in her second year on the cheer squad.

This past summer, her cheer squad won the Herkie Team Award for spirit, unity and leadership, “Best Use of Jumps in Camp Routine,” “Best Use of Motions in Cheers/Chants” and was a three-time “Leadership Ribbon” winner at Central Washington University’s summer Cheer Leadership Camp. That event is sponsored by the Association of Washington School Principals.

In the community, Clements is involved in her church's high school youth group and works part time at a local grocery store. Following graduation, she plans to study business and is interested in public relations.
