Brian Lund is a 1991 graduate of RHS and has been serving as acting head coach at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland.

has named alumnus Brian Lund as head boys basketball coach following the , who will become an assistant principal at RHS next school year.

Lund is a 1991 graduate of RHS who helped lead the Mustangs to a second-place finish in the state tournament his senior year before walking on to the team at Washington State. He had been serving as acting head coach at Lake Washington High School after head coach Barry Johnson—a former Mustang teammate—resigned amid allegations of sexual harassment earlier this year.

In an emailed statement, RHS Athletic Director John Appelgate said Lund's familiarity with the program makes him a great fit for the job.

"We are extremely excited to have Brian returning home," Appelgate said. "He is a huge part of Redmond’s basketball history, and is the right person to continue on the tradition of success for RHS student athletes both on and off the court."

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
