Bernstein Scores Six Goals to Power LW Over Mukilteo

Kangs make it four straight with 17-6 lacrosse victory.

MUKILTEO – Cody Bernstein netted 6 goals to lead Lake Washington to a 17-6 boys high school lacrosse win over Mukilteo Tuesday at Kamiak High School.

The win was the fourth in a row for Lake Washington and their sixth of the season.

The Kangs jumped out in front of Mukilteo with a 4-2 lead in the first and quickly built an 8-5 advantage at the half.  In the third, Lake Washington broke the game open with seven unanswered goals to take a 15-5 lead into the fourth. In the final, quarter the Kang’s added another two goals and Mukilteo scored a solo shot to round out the scoring.

For Lake Washington, Jake Bernstein netted three goals and Carson Brown, Collin Story and Hangk Schmale all had two goals. Mukilteo’s Tyree Behea had four goals and five ground balls in the loss.

Lake Washington (6-4-0) next faces Tahoma (7-2-0), Friday, April 22 in a 5 p.m. start at Marymoor Park in Redmond.  Mukilteo (1-7-0) next faces Tahoma (7-2-0), Saturday, April 23 in an 8 p.m. start at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo.
