Junior Softball World Series at Everest Field; Kirkland Street Scramble

  • Today is opening day of the Junior Softball World Series. This tournament of champions includes youth from all over the globe. Teams from Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Canada and several from various regions of the U.S. will be playing alongside a host team from the Eastside right here in Kirkland at . The festivities kick off at 12 p.m. and admission is free. The series runs all week long, culminating in an ESPN televised broadcast on Saturday, Aug. 20.
