Lake Washington Boys Rally to Beat Mount Si, 62-56

Guard Staudacher and forward Lynott each score 18 points; Kangs facing Lakeside in Sea-King District Tournament Saturday

The Lake Washington Boys basketball team overcame an eight-point halftime deficit, outscoring Mount Si 14-4 in the third quarter and holding on for a 62-56 victory Thursday in the KingCo Tournament at Bellevue College.

Guy Lynott and Matt Staudacher each scored 18 points to  lead the Kangaroos (14-9), while Darien Nelson-Henry had 10. Si was led by Dallas Smith with 21 points.

The Kangs now face Lakeside (12-10) Saturday on the Lake Washington hardwood in the first round of the Sea-King 3A District Tournament, 7 p.m.
