Seahawks Dec. 23 Game Moved To Prime Time

The Sunday game against the 49ers could decide NFC West Division.

The National Football League announced Monday it is moving the Dec. 23 game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers from its 1:25 p.m. start to a 5:20 p.m. start. It will be televised on NBC (or KING 5). This will be the second time these two teams have played in prime time; however, the outcome wasn't in Seattle's favor losing 13-6 during Thursday night football.

The 49ers (9-3-1) play the Patriots in New England this Sunday, while the Seahawks (8-5) will play the Bills in Toronto.

The NFL utilizes “flexible scheduling” on Sundays in Weeks 11-17. Flexible scheduling is used to ensure quality match-ups and give teams a chance to play their way in primetime, according to the NFL. Seattle is coming off a huge bully-win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday 58-0.
