Band Wickerman to Rock Eagles May 18 to Benefit Kirkland's July 4 Festivities

The goal is to raise $5,000 for the volunteer group Celebrate Kirkland, which each year organizes the city's Fourth of July parades and fireworks. The benefit includes live classic rock, dancing, a BBQ and silent auction.

In a reprise performance, the classic rock band Wickerman will be shakin,’ rattlin,’ and rollin’ at the Eagles Hall May 18 during a benefit to raise $5,000 for Celebrate Kirkland’s Fourth of July parade and fireworks.

With Kirkland’s Jim O’Farrell on the keyboards, the group last rocked the Eagles in April of 2012 is a similar benefit for the city’s Fourth of July festivities.

This year’s benefit includes a silent auction starting at 6 p.m. (items include Seahawks club tickets, vintage wine, dinners at Kirkland restaurants) and music, dancing and games beginning at 8. There will also be a barbecue and other food, along with the Eagles fully stocked bar.

Kirkland’s Fourth of July parades and fireworks (downtown based at Marina Park) are not funded by the city, but through donations and the efforts of the volunteer group Celebrate Kirkland.
