Here Comes the Sun: Get Ready for Warm Weather in Kirkland

Temperatures are expected to reach the 80s by Friday and stay that way well into next week.

Is summer finally here?

The recent rain and cool temperatures are expected to fade away by Friday, with weekend temperatures in the 80s this weekend.

The warming trend will continue until at least Wednesday, with some forecasters predicting temperatures above 90 degrees in certain areas.

In Kirkland, the National Weather Service's forecast calls for daytime highs in the low- to mid-80s on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will climb higher next week, reaching 86 by Wednesday.

Forecasters have yet to say what's in store for the Fourth of July next Thursday.
