Gallery: Clambake and Hambake at Woodmark a Sold-Out Success

The clams and hams benefiting Hopelink at Carillon Point brought in the crowds for a second year straight.

Last September, the folks at the started a most excellent tradition -- a pig roast and clambake on the pristine waterfront lawn. The charity event donates proceeds to , an organization dedicated to feeding those in need among other services.

This year, Friday the 13th made everyone who turned out for the Clambake nervous with rain, thunderstorms and even a bit of lightning. But the sun shone fiercely on guests while they sipped drinks and ate pulled pork sandwiches. The Mac & Jack's battered halibut was crisp, hot and moist. Most agreed it was the showstopper station, judging by the lack of remaining bites near the end of the night.

The Renegade String Band returned, tight and awesome as ever. The Portland musical group put everyone in a good mood with its folksy modern bluegrass tunes.

No doubt, everyone is already looking forward to next year's Clambake at the Woodmark. Take a look at this year's event in our attached photo gallery!
