Copper River Salmon Are Finally Here
First opening of the Copper River Salmon season.
They're finally here, the Copper River King and Sockeye salmon. Fishermen had the worst first day opening on Copper River Kings, but the Sockeyes were abundent. There will be another opening on Monday or Tuesday. It will probably be another 12-hour opening, hope they catch more King salmon. We here at were lucky and got three Copper River Kings on the first catch. The Sockeyes were very nice sized and firm, averaged about 4 to 7 lbs.
