Seafood News: King Salmon in Short Supply, But Fresh Bottomfish Plentiful

seafood tidbits

With all the bad weather up and down the West Coast, fresh king salmon is in short supply, but we are still getting good selection of bottomfish -- true cod, Petrale sole, rockfish. Fresh, whole-cooked crabs are a challenge, but still coming in.

There are also plenty of great specialty fish, such as tuna, swordfish, opah, ono, and mahi-mahi. Mahi-mahi is a great substitute for halibut, the frozen halibut is not very good now.

So there are still great fish available -- keep eating more healthy fish!!
