Chamber Director Hitting the Streets to Raise Money for Summer Events

Bruce Wynn and chamber members will be dressed in costume seeking donations to help pay for Kirkland's summertime festivities.

Don’t be surprised if you see several costumed hawkers on downtown Kirkland streets on Tuesday. They’ll be there for a good cause -- several of them actually.

Executive Director and a few chamber members will be dressed in costumes representing Kirkland’s summer events in an effort to raise money for those events.

Wynn says they’ll be at Lake Street and Central Way from 7-9 a.m. and again from 4-6 p.m., near sandwich boards listing the events -- the Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks, the Kirkland Summer Concerts and more. They’ll be handing out fliers with requests for donations.

Many of downtown Kirkland’s traditional summer events are funded by donations and organized by volunteers, and the need is great. So Wynn and company are taking to the streets.
