Hopelink's Kirkland Center Needs Gift Donations

The center will be open Saturday from 10 to 4 to receive donations for its Lend a Hoping Hand holiday campaign.

Hopelink’s will be open Saturday to accept donations for its Lend a Hoping Hand campaign to help local homeless and low-income families have a happier holiday season.

Increased demand for food indicates the holiday need this year will be even greater than last year, when 2,772 children received toys, games, books, clothing and stocking-stuffers through the gift room at the Kirkland-Northshore Center.

Particularly needed this year are new clothing and gifts for older kids, such as sports equipment and memorabilia, electronics, cameras, jewelry and makeup kits. All ages need warm clothes, sweatshirts and sports clothing. Lend a Hoping Hand rooms are stocked with donations from local toy drives, corporate-sponsored giving trees, and individual contributions.

If you can help, the center at 11011 120th Ave. NE in Kirkland will be open for donations Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., please stop by.

The Kirkland gift room will be open to serve pre-registered clients beginning Monday, Dec. 19. Hopelink’s gift rooms are in their 17th year. For more information on donating to the Hopelink Kirkland/Northshore center, call 425-889-7880.
