Pets of the Week: Ariel and Dee Dee Lost Home When Owner Got Allergies

These sisters are 7, and Ariel has a curious quirk: she loves to be brushed, but only exactly three strokes at a time.

Lovely Ariel is a gorgeous torbie -- that's a cross between a tabby and a tortie -- and her sister Dee Dee is a striking black and white bi-color who came back to Houghton's when their owner developed allergies.

These beauties are seven years old but are as playful, curious and friendly as kittens. Both are quite affectionate and love to sit in the lap of any person petting them. Ariel isn't without funny quirks: she loves to be brushed, but only with exactly three strokes at a time.

The pair are also interested in toys and appreciate a good play session once or twice a day. Both have wonderful scratching habits and love to use their carpeted and sisal scratching posts.

Ariel and Dee Dee are bonded and should be adopted as a pair. Both are healthy, spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date with vaccinations. If you think you might have a home for them, please stop in at MEOW. See www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
