Pet of the Week: Handsome Barry Ever So Thin, But Happy and Gaining

A 7-year-old tabby, Barry arrived at Houghton's MEOW Cat Rescue recently from an overcrowded shelter.

Β

Barry is a 7-year-old domestic medium hair brown tabby with exquisite markings on his face -- he's definitely a head-turner at in Kirkland, where he is staying now. His handsome charm and good looks are hard to miss.

Barry came to MEOW as a transfer from an overcrowded shelter. The volunteers at MEOW don't know a lot about his history, but judging by his thin stature, he probably missed too many meals. He has put on some weight since arriving at MEOW, but he could still stand to put on a little more.

But he is so thankful for every meal and exuberantly shows his appreciation with quiet chirps and a softness in his eyes -- as if to say, "thank you." He loves to sit on the windows sills and climbing trees and gaze contentedly out the window. Barry is one of those cats who will be so easy to care for.

He is quiet, very cuddly, friendly and he adores head scratches. He still has lots of playfulness in him and he just can't resist any toy with feathers. He is an all around great cat.

He's currently residing in one of the free roaming rooms at MEOW, and he gets along very well with everyone. Dogs are an unknown. He is healthy, neutered, micro-chipped and ready for a new family. If you'd like to check him out, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
