Pet of the Week: Hit by a Car, Cassidy is Doing Fabulously on Three Legs

The four-year-old male cat's attitude is inspiring the volunteers at Houghton's MEOW Cat Rescue, but Cassidy needs a good home.

Cassidy is one very lucky boy. One of the volunteers at Houghton's shelter came upon the silky black boy lying on the side of the road, presumably after being hit by a car.

Cassidy was whisked to the vet, where he was given a thorough examination. X-rays revealed a very nasty injury, a fractured tarsus in his rear right leg, rendering it useless. Despite the leg injury, Cassidy was in perfect health. An amputation was the most logical option.

All of this took place almost two months ago, and Cassidy is doing fabulously!   Cassidy isn't wasting any time and is getting on with his life. His remaining rear leg is growing stronger every day and he is learning very quickly to adapt to life with three legs.

We think his attitude is admirable and he continues to inspire us. This handsome boy is four years young, has been neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, dewormed - the works! If you think you might have a home for him, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
