PET of the WEEK: Pretty Pulane Paws for People

Friendly four-year-old with a curly tail much prefers the company of humans.

Pulane is a pretty four-year-old, medium-haired black cat that loves people but has had her fill of other animals, being rescued from a residence that had way too many.

She is now at Houghton’s , where she often pokes her paws out of her cage at passersby seeking attention. She has become a favorite at MEOW, often enjoying riding around the shelter on the shoulders of its volunteer staff.

She also often head-butts humans, a typical show of affection and a sign of a friendly cat. She is as pretty as her name, Hawaiian for “child of rain,” and sports a curly tail. She has quite a repertoire of chirps and meows of approval.

But Pulane isn't fond of other cats, so will be happiest in a home as the only feline. Dogs are an unknown. She will most likely do fine with children. She enjoys toys, but only second to the company of humans.

If you're looking for a super friendly and outgoing cat, Pulane could be the one for you. If you'd like to check her out, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
